Rev. Dr. Lyn Hammond-Gray

Rev. Dr. Fran Stewart “Healing the World through Teaching the Power of Gratitude.”	Rev. Dr. Fran Stewart performed her first rite as a UB minister when she conducted her father’s funeral in 2002. A member of the Board of Regents since August of 2003, Fran has expressed her delight at the ways in which the University has grown. She served as UBU Administrator from March 2007 through August 2009. She is the author of the Biscuit McKee Mystery Series, and she describes her books as “metaphysical mysteries.” At the end of each day, for instance, Fran’s main character (a librarian) sits down and writes a gratitude list. Of course, Marmalade the library cat adds her list as well, things such as catnip and leftover chicken. Fran takes her belief in the importance of gratitude with her to the table at every UBU Board meeting. She recently received special recognition from the regents of the board for having successfully spear-headed and raising the standards of administrative management and quality under which theses and dissertations are reviewed.
